D55140 - Cosmetology Diploma

Students will be able to discuss and apply competency based knowledge in the following areas: scientific/artistic principles, professional imaging, hair design, chemical processes, skin care, nail care, multi-cultural practices, business/computer principles, product knowledge, and other cosmetology-related topics.

Students will develop manipulative skills and be able to demonstrate hands-on fundamentals associated with the cosmetology industry.

Students will be able to follow general infection control procedures and safety guidelines.

Students will qualify to sit for the State Board of Cosmetic Art examination.
