D35100 - Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology Diploma

Students will be able to install residential heating and cooling system.

Students will be able to service residential heating and cooling systems and make common repairs.

Students will demonstrate an understanding of the refrigeration process.

Students will demonstrate proficiency with tools common to the industry including gauges, meters, scales, and other industry equipment.

Students will demonstrate knowledge of EPA rules related to refrigerant handling and will sit for the EPA 608 Refrigerant Certification Exam.

Students will demonstrate communication (oral and written) and customer service skills relevant to the HVAC industry.

Students will demonstrate a basic knowledge of building codes related to HVAC and the ability to research and apply relevant sections of the building code.
