Students will have a working knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and pathophysiology in order to be proficient at diagnostic and procedural medical coding.

Students will demonstrate an understanding of current ethical issues affecting healthcare personnel.

Students will demonstrate professional and practical skills in a HIM department.

Students will obtain their Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential after graduation.
